FLL Team Grants

Numerous funding opportunities are available to support rookie and veteran FLL teams. More opportunities will be added to this page as they become available. Please refer to the grantors' websites for the most up-to-date information. Completion of an application does not guarantee funding.

R2OC FIRST Developmental Grant Program

  • DEADLINE: September 15, 2018 or until all grants are awarded
  • Application:  R2OC Developmental Grant Application Form
  • Eligibility:
    • Teams must reside in Boone, Stephenson and Winnebago counties
    • Teams must participate in at least one FIRST competition/event
    • Teams must indicate R2OC as a sponsor on all team materials
  • Grant Amount: $450
  • Expectations of Grant Recipients: See application for requirements of accepted FLL teams



  • FIRST Illinois Robotics organizes a Yahoo! Group for coaches in Illinois to communicate with each other.
  • FIRST LEGO League provides an online forum for coaches.

  • Official FLL Coach information will be sent to your email box by both FIRST and FIRST Illinois Robotics
  • FLL Illinois recruits experienced coaches to reply to questions from rookie coaches.  Make sure you ask for help if you have questions about building, programming or team issues.
